Benefits of Unlocked Cellular Phones
by admin on Apr.09, 2010, under Tips
You may not know much about the phone other than that you can not live without it! The phone is connecting with the rest of the world and is a very important tool. Many mobile phones are made to use a SIM card – a Subscriber Identification Module – which stores subscriber data. The SIM card is issued by the carrier (carriers such as AT & T, T-Mobile, Alltel and others use SIM cards) and is used to activate the phone. Locked phones only recognizing a particular carrier, and unlocked cell phones recognize any carrier. An unlocked phone is much more useful for the average user of a locked cell. A locked phone will not allow users to change phones at will. Cellular carriers claim that this is done to maintain a balance covering the cost of handsets. A locked cell phone benefits only the carrier, while a phone unlocked benefits to the customer. Some carriers require the purchase of a mobile phone locked for the duration of the contract, but unlock the phone when the contract expires. One of the easiest ways to purchase an unlocked phone is to buy the phone from a seller on-line third party, not a cellular carrier store. In this way, the phone will already be in its unlocked state, which is how all cell phones are manufactured originally anyway. What is even better by buying an unlocked phone in this way is that it is generally 50% -60% less than you would pay the carrier’s retail store. unlocked cell phones work with any carrier that uses a SIM card (even abroad). If you currently have a phone locked, you can pay a third-party companies (not your carrier) to unlock the phone. Unlocking a phone does not warrant that functions as the carrier may have implemented the property settings. However, many people have learned to hack into cell phones blocked, but be careful to unlock the phone exists because it can potentially be rendered unusable. A major advantage of having an unlocked phone is that if you tire of one phone or carrier, you are free to change services at any time. With today’s constant changes among cellular carrier’s plans, pricing and service it’s no wonder that so many people prefer unlocked cell phones. unlocked cell phones make it much easier for customers to switch carriers. Unlocked phones are also useful if you want to change the model of your phone. Most SIM cards are compatible with many different phone models. If your phone breaks, is damaged or just time for an upgrade, you can often change the SIM card out and insert the new phone. The SIM card will retain all stored information, phone number and calling plan, but in a completely new phone.

Cell Phone Modding, Tips and Hacks
by admin on Apr.02, 2010, under Tips
Therefore, it is a Motorola V3 Razor. If you’re doing what I did is trying various websites to find a way how to change to be what you want. You are reading things like “seems”, “flashing”, “flex”. What the hell?
She is confused, lost, and ready to pay someone to do it, or give up. But do not. I’m definitely a computer expert or a modding guru but I understood so that means it is possible!
Lets talk about modding and or hacking (changing anything from what has come from the manufacturer) Hack? No Im not taking about anything illegal, but the term is used to express the idea. The “hack” in a phone or Ipod the manufacturer did not want access
Why all the mod? Well simple. I paid good money for this and if I want my kids picture as my outer LCD image then by golly I am! lol. . In addition there are several menu items locked by certain carriers which I think is bunk anyway but I digress. . The largest and most common reason for modding is to unlock the phone.
What is unlocking? Simple. Unlocking allows you to take AT & T SIM card out and put in a T-Mobile SIM card and use the phone. Sim card? he asks. .
If you do not know what a SIM card you should stop now and go bake cookies. . . lmao. . Not exactly, is the card under the battery usually that only allows you to use your phone to that carrier cards. CDMA phones do not have these. Like Sprint, Verizon. Yes, you can still mod but unlocking isn’t possible. You can just reactivate with any CDMA carrier you want
Back to modding. .
You can personalize your phone (change the external image, make it louder, use different fonts, change the look of everything, etc..) Moreover, modifying the software on the phone can increase the reception, the volume, menu speed, and more.
Ok now your hooked. How do the screaming!
Slow down Tonto. . This is complicated stuff so read read read. . . . I got my 500 dollar V9 took me 4 days to change the external LCD display, I do not want $ 500 paperweight. . Really?
Other basic terms you should know I am. .
Flex:
The flex is the file and branding of the phone. It contains all the carrier specific menus and images, like T-Zones for T-Mobile, or any other brand graphics and text links your carrier inserted into the phone.
Flash:
The flash is the part that changes most often. Now we have different types, but basically, the flash is the software of the phone. When you change the flash, regulates functions, menus and more. Also, things like how the phone handles reception or menu speed are handled by flashes. Flashing the phone will not erase your media or settings. Then there is the sound.
The Seem:
The look is individual pieces that make up the operating system of the phone. Every single feature of the phone (SMS on / off, will call at the end when you close the flip, you can access the web from your phone, etc.) is all editable by changing a seem. More on that in the seem editing section, but basically seems are what will change when you want to change one feature at a time.
What should I do?
Go to the download page and get all the necessary files and software. Backup. then connect. For some reason, this is one more pain in the ass thing to do for some reason. It should be easy, but it is not. I will do my best to get everything you need in this one place for you to go but feel free to post your questions in the forum. Go to www. hackitz. com for more information.
